Living Well Community News

The town of Franklinville Planning Board/Zoning Board has approved the new Conceptual Plan for Living Well Community.  They were all very positive about the plan.  To view the new plan please click on this link - New Conceptual Plan  The main result of this approval is that we have five more Commercial/Institutional lots we can start to market, and we have a much expanded approval for the Conference Center and remainder of this exciting project.

Harvey Harman in Documentary

We recently heard from Brad Horn telling us their new website Stewards of the Land is up at www.stewardsoftheland.org  Mr. Horn is the project creator and co-coordinator of the documentary on the site that includes our own Harvey Harman as one of six organic and sustainable farmers that were profiled.

As the website explains Stewards of the Land is, "A multimedia documentary project that was completed over the course of 2001, 2002, and 2003 in North Carolina’s Central Piedmont Region—an area known as The Triangle. The Triangle—anchored by the cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill—is known for its vibrant network of organic and sustainable farms that supply the community with locally grown food nearly year-round."

Congratulations to Brad and to all those folks who helped make this project a reality!
