Emtonjeni International Conference Center
Emtonjeni means "Living Water" or "The Fountain"

The mission of the Emtonjeni (ehm-tone-jeh-nee) International Conference Center (EICC) is to enrich groups and communties in a holistic fashion through demonstration and education. Primary areas of activity are sustainability, Health/Wellness, cultural understanding, arts and music, and spiritual growth.
Location
The land is a spectacular low mountain setting bordered by the Deep River and Sandy Creek. The river, creek, rock formations, high bluffs, wildflowers, forests, and wild animals are incredibly beautiful. A historic Indian fish weir on the edge of the property indicates the area was used extensively by native peoples for 100's of years.
An abandoned rail line runs through the property parallel to the Deep River which is being turned into a regional Greenway/Bike Trail.
The Conference Center is in the Town of Franklinville and is a half hour drive from Greensboro, an hour drive from Durham and Raleigh, and an hour and half drive from Charlotte.

Entertain 250 guests for events such as weddings, receptions and banquets.
Full-service prep kitchen.
Host regional and national workshops.
Meeting room for seminars, retreats and classes in central Great Hall with balcony, outdoor patios, sun porch and courtyard.
Spaces provided for all types of interaction from business meetings, family milestone events and spiritual retreats.
The home could be used as a bed & breakfast with 4 bedroom suites or for smaller meeting spaces.
A Community Gathering Place
The Conference Center can be used as a community gathering place where members can meet, connect and bond.
Multiple purposes - share meals, take classes, watch movies, or celebrate events.
For use by community businesses, and/or rented to outside groups for revenue benefits to the community.
Groups that meet to focus on healing, inspiration/spiritual growth, healthy lifestyle, sustainability, international understanding and appreciation.
Historic Value
The McIver house (integrated into the conference center building) was built in the 1850's could be listed on the Historic Register.
